With there being many weight loss teas on the market all claiming similar results, it is hard to stay on top and reputable. Drinking tea, in general, is a great way to increase the number of fluids you drink a day while also encouraging a healthier lifestyle. However, there are many negative benefits and negative connotations against “diet teas” since they contain diuretics or laxatives, much like our dandelion tea weight loss and ballerina tea weight loss.

I added this tea to my daily diet after taking a week off from mt diet/weight loss goals after I hit a plateau. I’m a big tea drinker so I drink it several times a day just because I like it so much and it’s better than drinking plain water. I dropped all the water weight I’d gained in my week off within two days and have been steadily losing .2-..3 pounds a day since. This is combining it with a healthy, low cal, low carb, high protein diet plus exercising 3x a week. So can I say for sure that it’s the tea that made the difference? No. But I do know I’m back on track and losing again after plateauing for a while and this the only I’m doing differently than before.

I tried the Lipton detox dandelion nettle grapefruit herbal supplement green tea recently after having a cold for an easy morning pick me up. It was an interesting flavor that I somewhat enjoyed. The grapefruit flavor is the strongest in the tea and I usually don't like fruit flavored tea, but this wasn't bad. I like that it didn't make me feel jittery or upset my stomach (like coffee sometimes does, especially if I haven't eaten much yet). For me, this would be a better tea to drink before yoga. Tastes nice with honey. I like to rub the leftover herbs in the bags over my face for an easy "spa treatment" once they've cooled a little before tossing out or using in my gardening compost. Worth trying.

Update... I made this tea cold and it was amazing! I read that another reviewer said that it had no flavor? All I can imagine is that maybe he/she is not letting the bag seep long enough? Or maybe using too much water? For my cold brew, I boil 4 cups of water and seep 6 bags for about 30 min. I then add 1 Tbsp honey and about 4-6 Tbsp fresh lemon juice. I keep that in the fridge in a glass container. When I want a drink, I fill a tall glass with ice and pour it over. As the ice melts, it dilutes the tea and is the perfect flavor! Add a sprig of fresh mint in your glass and it's even better! This is my everyday drink... delicious hot or cold!

However, that’s not to say the tea doesn’t help with weight loss in general. When disregarding the fact that the tea is a natural diuretic and you will lose water weight in the first couple of days, there are signs of overall weight loss with consistent use of the tea. We must also state that when drinking the tea for weight loss, you must eat healthily and exercise consistently to see the full benefits. Like everything we recommend on our website, we like to reiterate the point that there is no magic weight loss pill or tea of any kind that can help you shed off pounds without putting in the work. 


Research has found that drinking tea may help lower your risk of stroke and heart disease, lower your blood pressure, improve your mood, and even help with weight loss.
