Iaso Tea is an herbal tea made from natural and high-quality ingredients that claim to rid the body from toxins and aid in weight loss. However, there has been a lot of negative connotation over these types of teas because their “quick” weight loss results are proven to be from losing water weight instead of body mass. If you want more information on the specific products we made an article reviewing the Iaso Tea products in depth here.

So what are the best detox teas to choose? If you're really focused on a start-and-stop teatox (rather than just incorporating detox teas into your diet), check out programs like SkinnyMe Tea, which offers 14- or 28-day packages of high-quality, loose-leaf herbs to steep. Or save a little cash and try one of these four off-the-shelf detoxifying varieties, recommended by Lagano and Villacorta.

However, it’s not the detoxifying actions that necessarily make this tea useful in this category. Since most teas like to advertise “detoxifying” type products to turn heads, they leave out the benefits that matter the most. Many of the ingredients of the tea, such as papaya and myrrh, have gastric healing and antimicrobial properties. As well as almost all of the ingredients have potent antioxidants that not only rid our body of impurities and free-radicals but helps our skin from aging and our bodies from becoming ill.

Weight Regulation. Many people associate cannabis with a stimulated appetite, and when you smoke the plant, you feel naturally hungrier. However, that is not the case when it comes to consuming CBD and hemp extract. CBD is suggested to reduce appetite and control obesity because the CB1 receptor, which stimulates the appetite, is blocked off by CBD naturally. Instead of completely deactivating the CB1 receptors, CBD influences other molecules to block them off, which helps reduce the appetite and overeating.
We're wary of any trend that involves detoxing with just a drink. By now, we're all pretty aware that liquid diets can't sustain our active bodies for very long, and most of the drinks celebrities swear by have little actual detoxifying effects. But a teatox, or tea detox or tea cleanse, is a gentler approach to the whole idea, namely because it involves adding a few herbal cups to your existing, healthy diet-instead of replacing meals entirely.

Often used in detox teas and supplements, dandelion is a powerful natural ingredient that boosts the health of the urinary tract, kidney, and liver. This herbal tea from Kiss Me Organics features dandelion root as its primary ingredient, with the addition of Ceylon cinnamon and hibiscus — two delicious ingredients that also help stabilize blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
Lemongrass - Lemongrass is a plant that has oils which have been used for medicine. Asian food also sometimes use it as a boost of flavor. There has been a lot of buzz around lemongrass for all sorts of health benefits but so far there hasnt been any conclusive resulst found. So I would just say it could be a nice addition to your body and helps with the flavor.
Samantha, yes absolutely! We don’t ever recommend “starve yourself” detoxes. There is a much healthier way to achieve great results than depriving your body of nutrients for a few days. I would recommend sticking to lighter foods though. You can detox from specific things such as sugar and carbs or you can try a smoothie/juice detox. Just try to fill up on salads and veggies rather than heavier stuff like meats during a detox. I hope that helps!
